new mailorder doohickey

Since the demise of bigstep i've been gunshy about trying out a new external system to handle mailorder. Finally sticking our big toe in the water again with a Bigcartel Zum store. Right now they let you do 5 items listed, but if all goes well, we'll add more to this. Please let me know how you like the layout.

Scary Mansion uber-fan D.R. Adams made this collage inspired video for the opening track off "Every Joke Is Half the Truth". Enjoy! "Okay I made this for my friends band. The song is called “Captain” check out SCARY MANSION the band or Leah Hayes artwork. she is a great illustrator. also she is a lot like the spastic girl in “Real Genius” you know, with the dark hair who talks fast and is always building things, she is like that, nerdy and just spastic. Her band are loud as fuck. Her drummer probably drinks 19 11dy red bulls before they play. I like how she talks. very slow. and sunny. despite deadlines and an obviously weakened heart from her love of things artistic and unknowable."

The Austin Chronicle gave the Hideout show on March 12th a great preview: "Already a fixture of Brooklyn's anti-folk culture through her artwork and collaborations, Leah Hayes' debut as Scary Mansion sounds more like a deserted Beach House.
