Going to be out of town for a week, but very excited about the pending release of High Castle's debut EP! Paul Morgan just finished screening the two color covers and they look bonkers (good).
I'll be playing with my band KIT in Portland on July 4th with Jonny X and the Groadies and Thrones! Every July 4th JXATG plays a big birthday show, this will be our third time playing it and my 4th time attending! It's big 13 for them. Free show, 6 pm bbq, 8 pm show at Work/Sound 820 SE Alder.
Also we have a Discogs.com page and I'm selling our releases through that, plus some other distro items I have.
We're having a busy summer. The High Castle 12" should be ready after the July 4th weekend, but we're not even coming up for air cause I am going up to Anacortes for a week to record a KIT record and have something going on every waking moment before we leave. Here are a few places to see what we're up to:
First off, random art show: "You're All Over Living Me - A Group Show Inspired by Dinosaur Jr" organized by Dan Johnson
7-9:30 p.m. Fri. Through July 19.
Lake Gallery, 661 Divisadero St., S.F.
with peeps like Mark Whitely, Tomo, Alissa Anderson, Andrew Scott, and Rich Jacobs (and me).
==============
Then there's a free show on Monday at Toxic Beach/Tire Beach, on the new bus.

On its way to production is the 7 song EP by High Castle, now given the official title "You're On Your Own Way" (Zum026). It's going to be a one-sided 12" done in time (fingers crossed) for their July West Coast tour. Check their myspace for tour dates.
Another project in the works is a CD release for Core of the Coalman. Jorge is living in Prague right now but when he was back in Oakland last summer his live sets were totally slaying, if you don't know his stuff, check out the End Grain/Spirograph CDR we put out in 2006 and/or read Foxy Digitalis' glowing review of said release. The viola and guitar-centric tracks here are compiled under the title "Box of the Last Help." Hope to get that one out before summer's done.
Pukekos blog by BJ Rubin posted the alternate versions of many of the songs from the "San Lorenzo's Blues" Nuzzle album. This is a rough mix from the sessions in 1996 that were intended as a demo for that eventual album, but captures the live band pretty accurately. I even found an old flyer I'd forgotten that I'd drawn scanned from Sam's archives... OutHud played this show too but must have been a late addition if they were left off my flyer.
sorry if you ordered something recently, I'm on tour till May 4th and will be able to process orders after that. We got in a recent batch of stuff from Weird Forest (Emeralds, Grouper, Dead Western, Can't vinyl), Bone Awl, Pig Heart Transplant, Brilliant Colors, Total Abuse, Sex Vid, Silentist, Scarcity of Tanks, Heartworm publishing (23 anthology, Eric Paul's book, Chris Leo), Careerers self-released LP edition of 100, and Abe Vigoda's "Reviver" EP. Peep most of it here or email me to get on the complete mailing list - georgeATzumonlineDOTcom.

Also, Scary Mansion is doing some shows in April in France! Check out their tour dates here. They've also got T shirts.
Really stoked, this turned out beautifully, manufactured via Pirates Press, three songs of epic piano-meets-blast beat monstrosity from Portland's Silentist, artwork by the Ripper. It's being sent out to distributors next week, but available in mailorder now!
Other new mailorder goodies from Nick Hennies of Weird Weeds, Fat Day, MV EE, Silk Flowers, Father Murphy, and KIT I started a Twitter if you care to follow...
Interview with High Castle by Chris Sabbath in the Guardian. We are getting the pieces together for this release.
Coming up more immediately is "The Tunnel" 7" EP from Silentist. This will be the first Silentist release that is not on Mark Burden's own Celestial Gang label. We have copies of their most recent full-length in our mailorder...
